In late 2005, the
El Paso, Juarez and Las Cruces border community
became a pilot “city” for the Mission America Coalition’s
Loving Our Communities
to Christ initiative.
We are one of nine cities in America
chosen for this major national initiative. The leadership
team for this region consists of Laurraine Huffman (Target 7
Ministries), Barney Field (El Paso for Jesus), Fred Schultz
(Las Cruces Prayer Network) and Pedro Hernandez
( Joshua Project).
Our purpose is to be engaged in seeking the Lord with the
whole Church to Love Our Communities to Christ
by the biblical model of prayer, care and sharing Christ’s
love within our spheres of influence.
LC2C is a universal, biblical framework within which the
whole Church can experience the power of authentic unity,
and work together as God’s instrument of transformation in
our communities. Currently, we are asking people to join us
by using the Thy Kingdom
Come prayer
cards, available through any of the LC2C leadership team.
Since it is the heart of the
Mission America Coalition to provide leadership to community
servant leaders with a call to unity, prayer, evangelism and
community transformation, we are blessed to be aligned with
MAC, the largest coalition of church leaders in
America.
